A release said efforts had been taken to help the assessees file the returns online through computer centres in rural areas too. Coimbatore division had achieved 70 per cent e-filing of returns. Some of the industrial associations had also agreed to allow the small-scale assessees, who did not have a computer, to use the facilities with the associations. The trade and industrial bodies had sought a joint meeting with the department once a month and a grievances redressal meeting would be held on the second Friday of every month.
